Caring For The Customer


The "caring for the customer" rating is an aggregate score for the five parameters we survey (Service of Staff, Quality of Information, Overall Experience, Safety/Organization and Overall Impression/ Value for money). There must be a minimum of 3 traveller ratings we can average before we display a rating for the tour. We also age traveller ratings and discard any that are over twelve months old.

Pickup info:

On day 1 of the tour, you will be picked up from your hotel around 5:00 AM.

Do not forget:

  • Mosquito repellent (with DEET is more effective)
  • Long sleeved shirts (cotton or breathable fabric, but not too thin)
  • T-Shirts
  • Cotton socks (long enough to put them over your pants)
  • Hiking shoes
  • Sandals or light shoes to change into when at the lodge
  • Rain gear (rain poncho is ideal)
  • Sweater
  • Long pants
  • Bathing suit
  • Binoculars (you can also rent them)
  • Camera and film with extra batteries
  • Camera charger
  • Plastic bags to protect clothes, camera etc. from getting wet
  • Personal things (soap, toilet paper, towel, etc.)
  • Hat (or handkerchief)
  • Sun block, sunglasses
  • Light sleeping bag (can also be rented)
  • Flashlight (with spare bulb and batteries)
  • Water bottle (min. 1 litre)
  • Daypack
  • Passport copy
  • Money (Soles) for soft drinks, handicrafts and tips
