Notes:

Just in case we might not be able to reach the minimum of 4 persons for the 4-day Inca Trail, we reserve the right to endorse our clients to another operator. We work together with two operators, know their services and this is the only way we can assure you a spot on the Inca Trail on your requested date. We cannot guarantee that porters used by other companies will receive the same treatment and high salary as provided by Chaska Tours, although we insist them to pay their staff well.

We normally include the Backpacker train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy and this train leaves Aguas Calientes at 16:43 PM. At approximately 20:15 PM this train arrives in Poroy. When changing your return, by staying another day or paying the upgrade for the Vistadome train, we cannot be held responsible for your transportation from Poroy to Cusco.

We always reserve the right to reserve a different train and/or transportation to Poroy as mentioned in the 4-day Inca Trail program.

You always have to visit our office once you are in Cusco. We strongly recommend you to visit us on your arrival, two or three days before your trek will start. You need to leave us the name, direction and telephone number of the place where you are staying. If the full balance cannot be paid before your trek will start, Chaska Tours reserves the right to cancel your trek.

Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Duration: 4 day(s) - Location: Machu Picchu Sanctuary

Get the most out of your trip to Peru with this 4 day/3 night classic trek on the Inca Trail to the lost city of Machu Picchu high in the cloud forest. The trail will lead guests through ten ecological zones with diverse scenery from tropical forest to grassy highlands and remnants from the famous civilisation found all along the way. A porter will carry most of the gear, so trekkers will only be responsible for a small day pack. The trek will begin in the Sacred Valley on the banks of the Urubamba River and will camp the first night near the quaint Wayllabamba village. The challenging adventure will then ascend to the mountain pass of Warmiwanuska, but will be more than rewarded by the fantastic views of Huayanay to the east and the Vilcabamba Mountain Range to the west. The group will sleep in the highest campsite of Pacaymayu this night.
The third day will see a second mountain pass by following the Inca Highway to the archaeological site of Sayacmarka and will continue trekking until the Wiñaywayna campsite for the night. On the next day the travellers will continue to Intipunku, or the Sun Gate, where there will be the first magical glimpse of Machu Picchu from afar. The last stretch of the royal highway will pass quickly as we enter into the intriguing citadel and the lost city that lay as a well kept secret for four centuries. There will be a guided tour through the city to tell tourists all the interesting facts about this remarkable civilisation before returning on the train to Cusco.
