From the Weaving Centre, the tour will head twenty minutes to the Winaypaq Bilingual School, which is an initiative based on learning in Spanish and Quechua, offered to children in elementary or primary school completely free of charge. Many of the students hail from upper-Andean communities and mainly speak Quechua, while others from more urban regions speak Spanish has their primary language. The staff is aptly integrated to cater to all the students' needs and this is an interesting programme to witness.
The tour will then move on to the market of Pisac, which is famous for its varied selection of high quality goods. This is the ideal place to purchase some much needed souvenirs for the family at home, and a great way to help the local community!
Lunch will be served in a gorgeous restaurant in the Urubamba open air.
Next, the caravan will continue further into the valley to gawk at the awe-inspiring Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo that were built to protect the Incas from outsider entrance from the Urubamba Valley.
This will conclude our full day and the tour will return back to Cusco.
