Hostel Koyllur

Address: Calle Carmen Bajo 186, Cusco

Free Wireless connection plus internet on-site

The Koyllur Hostel is run by the Guevara family and the name 'Koyllur' means giant start in the Quechua language. This name was chosen because of the Koyllur Rit'i festival, which takes place every year in the higher Cusco region, called Ocongate. This family has attended this festival for more than 20 years consecutively.

Located in a narrow street just before the San Blas Square, the hostel has a perfect location to begin one's exploration of the wonderful city of Cusco. The hostel itself is quite charming and above all, exudes a warm feeling. It has a nice lobby with plenty of natural light from the open ceiling, which creates a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea.

Some guests have commented that the entryway looks like a museum with all the paintings and decorations on the walls. The paintings were made by artists from Cusco and they show members of the Guevara family during the Collur Rit'i festival, next to the traditional idols.

The rooms are nicely decorated, warm and all have a private bathroom and a television.
