Caring for destination
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Education and treatment of our staff are two of the most important areas in which we invest a great deal of energy during, before and after all our treks.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Most important for us is to keep our staff happy and that's why we pay them directly after their provided service the amount which is fair for the Peruvian standard of living. We also provide them with insurance, clothes, shoes, food during the treks and many more things. Every year all our cooks receive a course which will help them to stay up to date in the preparation of the most nutritious meals during treks. All our guides have to attend a first aid course every year and we frequently talk with the porters to see how or where we can improve our services and to see if they are satisfied with their work. When taking good care of your staff you can be sure they will treat your clients how they should.
During all our treks we separate the waste and we never leave a thing behind on the camp-site.
Our guides are capable and educated well to explain to our clients how to treat nature and local people with respect.
We use natural and local products in all the meals provided on the trek and never take chemical products with us.
Our motto is "Leave only footprints" and we're definitely one of the most conscientious tour operators you'll find in Cusco.
