Description: The Pakarina Wasi apartment has been designed to evoke the Pre-Incan period in Cusco's history. The word ‘pakarina' means point of origin, or cavern house. As the founding Incan myth goes, there was a mountain known as Tambo Toco. In this mountain, there was a cave called Pacaritambo, and four pairs of siblings emerged from this cavern, walked to the valley of Cusco and established the city. This apartment follows along the same design of the arch-shaped architecture of the mythological cave of Pacaritambo. There are rounded pillars, slanting edges and furniture that mirrors the structural design and overall feeling of the Inca planning. There are spacious marble countertops in the kitchen and a large table for easy maneuverability while cooking. The floor was created with handmade clay tiles as an added unique feature of the apartment. The bathroom is complete with a bathtub reminiscent of the altar in the above mentioned mythological cavern, in addition to a separate shower. The apartment has an area of 46 sq. meters and is intended for 1-2 guests.
