On the day I'm writing this, Hotel Yanantin is opening its doors for the public. It took Juan Jose Mendoza, together with 2 friends/colleagues, two years to finish the hotel.
In 2007, they bought this place that, back then, looked more like a ruin rather than a decent place to live. It took two years of hard work to get the work done and practically everything has changed besides some ancient arcs, which you can find at the entry / lobby.
In the hotel's bar, you can see some photo's of how the place looked when they bought it in 2007, and this will give you some idea of how hard these three men worked.
