Weather in Cusco
Check below for the latest temperatures in Cusco, with our six-day Cusco weather forecast.
Cusco's climate is primarily influenced by the great mass of air that originates from the high plateau, the south-eastern jungle, and even the distant region of la Patagonia. The eastern trade winds that propel the southern jungle winds are huge air masses of high humidity. The winds that originate from la Patagonia are cold and dry, much like the winds from the Peruvian-Bolivian high plateau. These winds enter Cusco from the southeast part of the city. The local winds that are generated in the valleys and in the Cusco plains dispel the humidity and heat all through the day.
Cusco enjoys two well-defined seasons - the rainy season, which lasts from November to March, and the dry season, which lasts from April to October. The average annual temperature in Cusco ranges between 11 °C and 13 °C. Summer temperatures can rise up to 20 °C.
The Cusco temperature generally remains constant during the summer and winter. Nights and early mornings are usually cold. The temperature rises during the day and peaks at noon. In June, the temperature frequently falls to 5 °C or 7 °C (23 °F and 19.4 °F) below zero. The annual average rainfall ranges between 600 to 800 mm.
